Viña Oropéndola Verdejo 2022

First impression

Quite nice, but not a re-buy for me. It would work at a party or barbecue, but I would not want a second bottle.

What I noticed

The colour was rich and yellowish—more like apple juice than I enjoy in a white wine. The nose was lovely and fresh, although it did not jump out of the glass. On the palate it was super crisp, with lemon and green-apple notes and a noticeable bitterness.

Verdict

80/100. A pass: serviceable for a casual occasion, but not a bottle that really suits my taste. I prefer a white with more roundness, ripeness and texture, rather than a crisp, bitter style.
