First impression

Easy-drinking and well-made, but it did not quite deliver a wow feeling.

What I tasted

On the nose: cassis and a persistent sweet-fruit impression that softened a little with air. On the palate: dry, balanced and low in acidity, with present tannins; plum, sour cherry and a slight pleasant bitterness. Beautiful ruby-red colour and nice tears in the glass.

Verdict

85/100. A pass: I would happily have a bottle or two, but would not buy a whole case. I want to explore more Primitivos across different producers and price levels, especially versions with more of the oak-derived vanilla, toast or cocoa dimension that makes a wine memorable for me.
